Bailey sterling can appear as shy -- and maybe even a little impatient --, but those who truly know the girl find her rather loud and a tad off her rocker, which isn't completely inaccurate. Bailey is mostly known by her friends as the 'goofy' one, and somebody they can turn to for help and advice.
But, when she's around one of her weaknesses, things get a little shaky. When Bailey does math, she can't help but drum her fingers along the front of her desk, which distracts other students. Bailey just isn't that great at math, but loves history and language arts. Mostly because they're her two best subjects. when somebody pressures her into doing something (like ditching school, for example), Bailey can't help but say yes. It was something that she inherited from her mother... And, last but not least, when Bailey talks to boy she finds cute, the girl tends to bat her eyebrows inadvertently, and speak softly. When she's asked to repeat herself, she tends to blush madly. But hey, nobody's perfect, right?

x. history:
Bailey Lynn Carmichael was born in Olympia, Washington to Evan and Carla Carmichael. Right away, her parents could tell that she was something special. But, hey, didn't all parents feel that way about their new-born babies? I could say that she was the perfect baby, but then I would be lying. Bailey would wake up every two or three hours, and cry and moan until one of her parents came in and rocked her in her rocking chair. By the age of one, Bailey was able to walk full-force. Her mother found it amazing, while her father wasn't impressed. Naturally, Evan was a pretty stubborn person, who claimed to had seen it all.
Bailey's toddler years were much too boring, besides the fact that she didn't talk until she was nearly two. Her parents (yes, even her father) were deathly afraid of her being deaf, but finally started singing her ABC's with Elmo and Big Bird on Sesame Street while her mother was doing dishes in the kitchen. Carla was so excited that she immediately phoned Bailey's father, who was equally as excited.
When Bailey started kindergarten at six years old, she was a bit nervous. she had her long, dark brown hair covering both of her shoulders and part of her face, as if to shield herself from everyone else's view. but, as it turns out, she actually liked it! well, except for a few annoying people here and there. she even met a little friend named Oswald, which made Bailey think about what a weird name that was.
Towards the end of the school year, Bailey ran home from school (which was only a few blocks away) feeling extremely happy, as she had been for a while. But when she approached her house's driveway, she found an ambulance and firetruck, which never meant anything good. Bailey quickly dropped her backpack off from her shoulders, and ran as fast as she could to the front door, where she was stopped by a rather large man in a think, yellow firefighting uniform and helmet. Her mother then came out and picked Bailey up from the ground. As Carla carried her daughter off of the front step and into the grass, Bailey felt her mother lock her in a tight bear hug, and felt tears dribble down on her shoulder.
"What's wrong?" Bailey asked in an extremely worried tone. "Who are all these people?"
"Honey, it's Daddy. They-they're here to h-h-help him."
"What happened to Daddy?!"
"Bailey, he's gone. Daddy's gone."
Naturally, this was some pretty tough information for Bailey to hear at the age of six. once her father was finally pronounced deceased, her mother packed up, and moved to Bakersfield, California for a fresh start. Bailey was never really the same until she started ninth grade, to be completely honest. She had seen counselor after counselor, but all they said was to make sure she took some anti-depression pills on a regular basis. You can only imagine how much of a freak that made Bailey feel like.
But once she started to become a bit happier, more people started to realize her existence. Bailey started to be known as something more than the 'almost-emo' chick, and she's met a few good friends since starting at Bakersfield High School. And now, all she has to do is worry about surviving her final two school years. And graduating, of course.

x. roleplay sample:
Cloud watching seemed to be very satisfying for Autumn, since she was still there. So far there had been a flower-shaped one, an elephant-shaped one, and one shaped like an acorn. Where's the squirrel? Autumn's mind wondered, a smile growing across her face at the thought. Squirrels and acorns went together like peanut butter and jelly. Like rock and roll. Like socks and shoes, and everything of that nature. Oddly, everything seemed peaceful that day. Nothing extremely terrible happening, which was extremely nice to hear.
As Autumn continued to watch the clouds, she could hear faint footsteps coming from the direction that leads to the Flying Field. Although she didn't look, Autumn still wondered who this person was. Could it be Jared? Or Isis? Jay, Melody, Torza, Jessica, or Kendra? Turns out that it wasn't any of those fine people, but one that Autumn had seen around school a few times, and had assumed to be in the same house as her, judging by the tie she had worn. But the only reason that Autumn recognized the girl is that she had sort of... ran into Autumn. Well, more like tripping and falling. Hard.
Autumn giggled a tiny bit when the girl mumbled out of pain, but felt bad for it. The only reason she did it was because the girl kind of reminded Autumn of her first year self at that point. Running into things, and whatnot. The younger student even kind of looked like Autumn a few terms back, with her brown hair. She couldn't see the girl's face, because it was sort of with the girl's face on the ground... "Are you okay?" She asked, smiling warmly.
